  • Is a ROC-A required for Advanced Operations?

    Most CARS 901.xx RPAS Operations do not require a radiotelephony operator's certificate, however, BVLOS and Above 400' operations do require a ROC-A, and it is recommended to have one for operations at uncontrolled aerodromes.

  • Do I need to take an exam elsewhere?

    This course includes the training materials required and the live examination fee, conducted live by Coastal Drone ROC-A examiners virtually.

  • How long does it take to get my ROC-A?

    The course can be completed in a couple hours, including the live 20-minute exam. Examiners are usually available to book during weekdays (PST hours).
