How the Process Works

Step 1 – Purchase the 2-Hour Prep Course (Optional)

Get familiar with the maneuvers and evaluation criteria before the summit. This will be held on April 8th at 6pm in Camrose, AB.  This will be a review of the CARS, the flight review process, and a recency seminar.  (This applies to both Advanced and L1C Flight Review Candidates).

Step 3 – Attend the AG Drone Summit (April 6-8)

Flight Reviews are held after the summit (Friday, April 10), starting at 9am on a first-come-first serve basis, however you MUST pre-register for the review.

  • Do I need the in-person prep course to take the flight review?

    No. However, the prep course is designed to significantly improve pass rates by walking through the exact structure of the review.

  • What are the Advanced Review prerequisites?

    For an Advanced Review: Pass the Advanced Online Exam and Complete the Coastal Drone 305 online prep course.

  • What are the L1 Complex Review prerequisites?

    For a L1 Complex Review: Complete TP15530 L1 Complex Ground School, Pass the Online Advanced Exam + L1 Complex Exam, Complete the Coastal Drone 405 online prep course.

  • Do I need my own drone?

    No, we will have DJI drones available if you do not bring your own.

  • How long does the flight review take?

    Approximately 45–60 minutes.

  • What happens if weather delays the review?

    Reviews will be conducted indoors inside the CRE if necessary.
